Account: email address, creation date, Stripe identifier if you are a subscriber. No password is stored: you sign in through a link sent by email, or through Google if you choose to.

Videos: the uploaded file, the audio extracted for transcription, the transcript itself, the edited video and its subtitles.

Usage: video length, chosen settings, edit reports (number of cuts, etc.), technical logs needed to run the service, downloaded clips, the source of your visit (the link you came from) and, only if you accept it in the banner, audience measurement (page views, clicks) by PostHog.

Payment: card details are entered on Stripe and never pass through our servers.

Questionnaire answers, if you answer while a video is analysed: why you’re into clipping, your income goal, target platforms, your experience, your campaigns, what holds you back and your timeline. They’re used to recommend a plan and to improve Lowdeo.

Affiliate program, if you’re an affiliate: the PayPal address you provide to get paid and your commission history.

Providing the requested service (performance of the contract), billing the subscription (contract and legal obligations), keeping the service secure and measuring usage in aggregate (legitimate interest), letting you know when a video is ready (performance of the contract), recommend a plan suited to the goal you state (legitimate interest), measure site audience (consent).

Original file: kept for 7 days after the edit (re-run and cut correction possible), then deleted. Edited video, subtitles and transcript: 7 days without a subscription, then 30, 30 or 30 days depending on the plan. Extracted audio: only for the duration of processing. Cancellation reason and optional comment: 12 months, passed on to Stripe with the cancellation. Account data: as long as the account exists, then 30 days. Publishing history: as long as the related video exists. Invoices: 10 years (accounting obligation). Questionnaire answers and affiliate data: as long as the account exists.

Supabase (European Union) for the database, authentication and storage. Vercel (United States) for site hosting. Modal (United States) for video processing, Groq (United States) for audio transcription and reading a few frames of the video, Anthropic (United States) for picking the moments and writing hooks and post captions from the transcript: your files are therefore transferred outside the European Union for the duration of the edit, under standard contractual clauses, then deleted. Stripe (Ireland) for payments. Brevo (France) for service emails and ImprovMX (United States) for forwarding emails sent to support. PostHog (European Union) for audience measurement, only if you accept it. Google (United States) for signing in with Google, posting to YouTube if you connect your channel, and YouTube video thumbnails, loaded from its servers.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, which you can exercise by email at support@lowdeo.com. You can delete any of your videos from the interface at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Without your consent, Lowdeo only uses strictly necessary storage: your sign-in session, language, the navigation column state and resuming an upload in progress. At checkout, Stripe sets the cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention. Audience measurement (PostHog, hosted in the European Union) only runs if you accept it in the banner; you can change your mind at any time through the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page. No advertising cookies.
